"Harry Potter" Scores $125 Million Opening Weekend

 Easily beating out the competition, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I" claimed the top spot at the box office over the weekend of November 19-21st.Not disappointing studio execs, the Daniel Radcliffe/Emma Watson flick is estimated to have earned $125.1 million in total.
The wizard-based movie toppled last week's winner, "Megamind," which had a weekend pull of $16.1 million while "Unstoppable" grabbed up third place at $13.1 million.
Rounding out the top five are the Robert Downey Jr. comedy "Due Date" ($9.1 million) and "The Next Three Days" in fifth with estimated earnings of $6.7 million.

2010 American Music Awards

 Making for quite the star-studded spectacle, the 2010 American Music Awards took place at Nokia Theatre LA Live in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday night (November 21).

 The annual musical showcase featured plenty of action, with the big winner of the ceremony being Justin Bieber - who picked up three trophies including Artist of the Year.
Meanwhile, Usher and Taylor Swift also wound up heading home with hardware while Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and the much-anticipated Backstreet Boys/New Kids on the Block teamup provided stirring performances.

The Healis Sekhsaria Institute for Public Health and Doctors for You, organisations working in the field of tobacco control have penned down a strong worded letter to actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan advising her against the use of a promotional scene where she is seen holding a cigarette in her latest film Guzaarish.
A poster of the film, which has Aishwarya Rai Bachchan smoking a cigarette while Hrithik Roshan looks on, is stuck all over Mumbai, including buses, autos etc etc…
The letter written by Dr Ravikant Singh from Doctors for you to the actress goes like this:
“We are dismayed by the posters of your forthcoming film Guzaarish that show you with a cigarette. We are not sure if the producer and the PR agency has taken your consent to use this particular picture for the advertisement.
The doctors are worried about the larger impact of these posters on the millions of young women for whom you are The Role Model,”
The letter further states, “Remember the final speech you made when you became Miss World, you had promised to “work for Peace, Goodwill, Harmony & compassion and to do full justice with your motto ‘Beauty with Purpose’. However, this promotional scene is against the philosophy that you have been preaching.”
To show their protest, the members of Doctors For You, which is a non-profit organization, will wear black badges on Friday, the day Guzaarish releases.

Farah says, “Sheila Ki Jawani was supposed to be a raunchy item Bhojpuri kind of song as Katrina’s a wannabe actress acting in sleazy films but the song shaped out to be classy and a mix between Chicago and Broadway.I have never seen Katrina looking both hot and sensuous at the same time. In her earlier films, she’s dressed mostly like a Barbie doll.
Farah added, Katrina really trusted me and didn’t argue even once when I told her what she had to wear. She just told me that she needs to start working out and tone her body more”

Demi Lovato Pulls Out of Tour to Seek Treatment

 Coming as quite the shock to her many fans, Demi Lovato has ended her touring efforts prematurely to receive help at a treatment center for personal reasons.
The Disney star was in the midst of an overseas "Camp Rock 2" tour as her rep confirmed that Lovato made the decision upon feeling overwhelmed by emotional and physical issues.
Miss Lovato's rep stated, "Demi Lovato left her tour early this weekend in order to seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time. Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help. She is doing just that."
"Demi and her family ask that the media please respect their privacy during this difficult time," the rep continued. "She regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future."

Sweta Tiwari and Dolly Bindra - The fight gets spicy

Priyanka Chopra’s figure is too hot for her character

This is perhaps for the first time that a director has to use a body double because the actress is too sexy and too perfect for a dare bare scene. This happened with the director Vishal Bhardwaj when he had to shoot a bare back scene with actress Priyanka Chopra in ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’.
The scene has Priyanka play a 38 year old woman who is out of her mind and wants assurance of her beauty. So, she drops her gown when the Naseeruddin Shah’s son Vivaan’s character goes in her room. But Priyanka has too toned perfect back for a 38 year old woman and so the director decided to go for a body double instead.
Priyanka will be playing the role of a thirty-eight year old lady in that particular scene of ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ with Vivaan and yes, Vivaan doesn’t play her lover in the film.

Kangana to expose her hot side…

Kangana Ranaut, the girl who has the curves to flaunt, will be seen in a two-piece bikini for Sanjay Dutt’s first home production titled Rascals.
The movie will be directed by David Dhawan and co-produced by Dutt’s good friend Sanjay Ahluwalia.
Confirming the two-piece bikini news, Sanjay Ahluwalia said, “The scene, to be shot in Bangkok, is Kangna’s introductory scene. She is shown coming out from water.” Watched Casino Royale, Sanjay?

Today is Shahrukh Khan’s Birthday. Yes! the superstar turns 45 today. he is currently in Berlin, far away his family and friends busy shooting for Don 2. But this hasn’t stopped his folks from making the day special and memorable.
Hrithik Roshan and his wife Sussanne are with Shahrukh in Berlin where he’s shooting for Farhan Akhtar’s film Don 2. The film’s crew and the superstar’s friends who have flown to the German city had a blast on SRK’s birthday.
“Have not had so much fun on my birthday before. Toys are us with the kids…learnt ripsticking…Dugu (Hrithik), Sussanne, Raveena & gang of Don 2…partied,” SRK posted on his twitter page.

The ‘Dabangg’ actress Sonakshi Sinha is one lucky female who got a chance to debut with Bollywood’s heartthrob Salman Khan and now she will be seen opposite the stunt hero Akshay Kumar. The film in the question is Shirish Kunder’s 3-D movie, ‘Joker’.
Sonakshi Sinha is thrilled to share screen space with Akki so early in her career. If everything falls in the right place then this would be Sonakshi’s second project with Shirish, the first being ‘Kick’ opposite Salman Khan.
A source close to Sonakshi said, “Sonakshi is thrilled to be a part of a 3D film so early in her career. Shirish and Akshay have already briefed her on the subject.”

I worked with Shah Rukh for the first time as a sister in ‘Josh’. I chose my path. I never thought or was concerned about competition. Shahrukh bangs car into camera…

Shahrukh and his co-star, Priyanka Chopra are in Berline shooting in full swing for Farhan Akhtar’s film, ‘Don2’. Sadly, Shahrukh Khan, recently smashed into a camera, completely breaking it into pieces.
Reportedly, a car chase sequence with SRK and Priyanka Chopra’s body double for ‘Don 2′ went awry as SRK somehow lost control, and rammed into the camera, completely shattering it to pieces.
A highly placed source states, “Shah Rukh and Priyanka’s body double were in the car, when it lost control and rammed into the camera itself, destroying it completely! No one was injured although the camera which costs a few lakhs was a major loss. Shah Rukh, immediately got out of the car and apologised to all, including director Farhan Akhtar. He also volunteered to pay for the losses. He also thanked God that nobody was injured. Farhan called for a break to let everyone’s nerves settle down before resuming shooting.”

Deepika Padukone looked crazily hot as member of a panel judging wannabe Kingfisher Calendar 2011 swimsuit models on Tuesday, October 26.
Deepika raised the sexiness bar high for the aspiring models by herself appearing in two jaw dropping attires: a form hugging blush pink draped dress and an equally hot floor length strapless gown with high riding front slit.
Other judges on the panel included Deepika’s beau Siddharth Mallya, actor/model Milind Soman and photographer Atul Kasbekar.
The panel will pick the twelve hottest models amidst the contestants for the Kingfisher annual swimsuit calendar.
Deepika revealed her strategy for selection.
“I am looking for someone who is, you know, not just good looking but also very, very intelligent,”.
The Kingfisher Calendar debuted in 2003 and Deepika featured on its 2006 edition.

Bipasha signs her first Hollywood Project

31-years-old Bipasha Basu signed her first International Project “Singularity” with English-French director Roland Joffe.
She plays the role of a Maratha warrior named Tulaja Naik, from the 18th century. The flick revolves around the story of First Anglo-Maratha War of the 18th century and includes four characters- an American marine biologist and his researcher lover, a British officer in colonial India and the Indian Women he falls in love with.
It is a $33 million flick and is penned down by Ajey Jhankar.
The film will be shot in Australia and India and she will be flying to Brisbane in the first week of November.
Bips is one lucky female who had just a brief meeting with Joffe. Sources say he was very impressed with her voice and her personality, and offered her the role.

Things turn a little sour between Ash and Abhi…

Looks like the honeymoon period for Bollywood’s power couple, Abhi and Ash is over and now the usual husband-wife tiffs have begun to tickle in, where misunderstandings and small fights are a part of everyday routine.
Recently on their way to award ceremony, Kunal Kapoor accompanied them and reportedly Aishwarya got too loud and vocal while Abhishek kept requesting her to keep her voice low.
It’s been heard that Jr. Bachchan wasn’t happy about Ash getting a little loud while they attended the award function and wanted her keep a low profile. But Ash ignored him and continued to be her real self.

While Ash was loitering around in the lobby after the event was over, the naughty Abhi, casually meandered with her towards the men’s washroom without her realizing where she was being led to.

Buzz also has it that, the actress had demanded a huge sum for hosting the reality show. The channel, which is in talks with the actress, will soon finalize the deal and show details, sources reveal.
The 36-year-old actor confirmed saying, “Talks are on for a television show that I will be hosting. But my busy schedule stands as an obstacle.”

 Moving along in her pregnancy, Alanis Morissette headed south for a relaxing vacation in Los Cabos, Mexico over the Halloween weekend.
The 36-year-old "Ironic" singer showed off her full-blown baby belly in a white bikini as she and her rapper husband Mario “Souleye” Treadway soaked up the sun.
The Mexican getaway comes a week after Miss Morissette celebrated her baby shower with friends and family in Los Angeles.
With balloons reading "It's a Boy" on full display, a source told People magazine, “She looked great."
The insider added of the party, "After enjoying catered food, the group also played loud games and seemed to have a lot of fun."

Jessica Alba: "Spy Kids 4" Sexy

Hard at work on her latest project, Jessica Alba was spotted on the set of "Spy Kids 4: All The Time In The World" in Austin, TX on Saturday (October 30).
The 29-year-old beauty was decked out in a snug n' sexy spandex outfit as she busily filmed scene after scene for the upcoming family flick.
The movie is being directed by Miss Alba's "Sin City" mastermind Robert Rodriguez, with a release date slated for August 19, 2011.
Co-starring Danny Trejo and Antonio Banderas, a synopsis via IMDB tells: "A mother returns to her old profession -- she's a retired spy -- in order to prevent a villain bent on stopping time."

Kate Hudson's Halloween Party Draws Out the Stars

Always one of the more well-attended events of the season, Kate Hudson threw her annual Halloween bash in Pacific Palisades, CA on Saturday night.
Turning up for the festive affair were a fur coat clad Nicole Richie, who mingled with a group of friends while amusingly watching on as a dog suit wearing Amanda Seyfried made her grand arrival.
And while Miss Hudson opted to avoid perched up paparazzi, other guests roaming around the front of the estate included Leonardo DiCaprio in a baboon mask.
Rounding out the guest list were plenty of friends and family, as well as Gwen Stefani, Shenae Grimes, Adam Sandler and a jumpsuit sporting David Spade.
